Attending Physicians

The Laurels of Kent is very pleased that many surgeons and attending physicians follow their patients at our facility.

If your physician does not have admitting privileges, our Medical Director or other attending physician will be happy to oversee your care while you are staying with us. If you have any questions regarding your physician coverage, please don't hesitate to contact us at (616) 897-8473. We can assist you to ensure that you will have physician coverage.

Mark Evenhouse, MD, Medical Director

Dr. Mark Evenhouse has been the Medical Director at The Laurels of Kent since 1998 and has been practicing in Lowell since 1990. His current office is Lowell Medical Specialists. Dr. Evenhouse attended University of Michigan Medical School graduating in 1985. He completed Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Residency at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in 1989. Currently is on-staff at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital. He is married with 2 children.

Steven Edmondson, DO

Randy Lovell III, MD

Dr. Lovell graduated the University of Michigan with high honors. He attended Northwestern Medical School. Dr. Lovell completed his fellowship training in surgery of the hand, wrist, shoulder, and elbow at Baylor College of Medicine. He is specialty trained in partial knee replacement and minimally invasive total hip/knee. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. www.michiganstreetortho.com

Dr. Rouse volunteers her time and medical skills at an indigent clinic in Grand Rapids and is "camp doc" at Spring Hill youth camp in Evart, Michigan each Summer. She has two children. www.ersfamilymedicine.com

Frank Schmid, DO

Dr. Schmid founded his family practice nearly 30 years ago and continues energetically to meet the medical needs of patients, many of whom have called him doctor their whole lives. He has served in three military theaters: Viet Nam, Afghanistan, and most recently, Iraq. He remains active in the Army Reserves. Peter Ugolini, MD

Dr. Ugolini attended Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital/Rothman Insitute with a shoulder and elbow fellowship.
